For 30 days, from October 10 until November 8, Yahoo! users worldwide can contribute photos, writings, videos, audio – even drawings – to this electronic anthropology project. This digital data will be gathered and preserved for historical purposes.
And by November 8, you will have helped create a digital legacy of our times, a mosaic of revealing snapshots that will be sealed and entrusted to Smithsonian Folkways Recordings based in Washington D.C., officially taking its place in history.This time capsule will serve to show future generations what the world was like in 2006.
I don't know the exact year this will be opened, but i think it is after 16 years or so (that's what I think I read)...and so I decided to submit something myself, because i want to look back, 16 years from now, and remember "the good old days". You can choose to stay anonymous, or show either your age decade, your sex, the place you live in (or you were born at) or all three of them for that matters.
I thought it is a good project, so sharing was the first thing that came into my mind.
