What ties people together?

What is a community? Is it based on Territory? Is it based on Common Culture?

What make Albanian people to be “Albanian”? What make you feel like Albanian and (for example) not French?

Why do we tend to trust people like ourselves but mistrust people unlike ourselves?

Is it possible to have multicultural, multiethnic societies with unity in diversity?

What are the ties that bind people?

The people are afraid of other people that aren't like them. They don't know him. So the more a persone is similiar to you the more you know him and the more you like him.

communication. that is the factor. we can't live without communication. the best example that comes to my mind is the film where Tom HAnks played i forgot the title but kind of a Robinson Crusoe of modern times. he was all the time talking to a kind of ball he made himself.

why we are so isolated? because we don't know how to communicate anymore and we think it is not important. yet exchange of emotions of ideas of feelings of thoughts is the main axes of our life.

identity language, mentality, customs, traditions, culture, historical development make us feel Albanians.

UNity in diversity yes it is possible and it is where all the common trends lead.

globalisation brings people together and melts the barriers. it enhances intercultural communication and abolishes pregiudices. it opens up cultures and nations to the rest of the world

Do computer chat groups on the Internet promote a new type of community, one that is both placeless and faceless?

i don't know what chat groups in internet promote, because I know only Albanian Chat groups. But yes internet brings people together. is what brings together albanians from all around the world to communicate with one another.

I don't know if it can be considered a new type of community. Because it has a true existence and a red and black color .
before we used to unite round our FLAG. today we are uniting round our IDENTITY even online and even more round our LANGUAGE that sounds so sweet when u speak from a foreign country.
