The words slickly rolled down your tongue
Before you could react
You wish you were back to young
So you could undo that act

You gave him all your attention
And that silly sentence too
But he never once mentioned
That he loves you back to you

But your ‘love’ for him was blinding so you let that slide past
As you searched for the all good and hid from all the bad
What you desperately wanted was for the relationship to last
So you could be forever happy and not lonely and sad

He didn’t once acknowledge
All that you did for him
Cuz you were just a bandage
Not something everlasting like a limb

And now as you sit all alone
And cry the useless tears
You contemplate on what was known
…what was so hidden when so near:

He used you thoroughly
Like pants or a shirt
Then cut you slowly
And left you to hurt

You didn’t care if what you did was haraam
Because you thought he was your life
You never knew he was the trigger to the bomb
Of your sadness, tears, and strife

All the days that gone to waste
Can now never be repeated
All the memories you tried to erase
Are like an army never to be defeated

You lost the time Allah granted you
You can never go back
The only hope you have is to
Repent and live ‘till your last
