Through dead lands

 

I wish the rain would break my window

and a big black owl would sweep me up

throw me into a dark blue sky

getting swallowed by clouds that cry.

 

Darkness wideness and embraces all

heavy air fills worn out lungs

and I reach a nest once bright and gold

now angels there are dead and cold.

 

I look at them but do not cry

and I’m near but I touch them not

I sit on shattered broken wings

they were my ends and my beginnings.

 

Trails of fire, of ice and blood

piles of heads of arms and hearts,

I see take over and drown the sky

...I just close my eyes, grab a feather and fly!
