Heart on fire
Today I had wood logs for my heart
to keep the fire burning
today I had some 'bread'
because I was yearning
Today the candle flames
the fire in the fireplace were vague
to the burning heart
the heart God made.
I hear people screaming
alarmed by my smoked heart
in urgency and panic
a fire truck is about to start.
They rush toward me in yellow suits,
-Firefighters!- I say
Loud sirens from red trucks
-Come what may!
-Open the door!- They bang and scream
wanting to water my soil-You're burning alive!
I shut the doors: Don't strep in!
With rushed boots don't walk in my heart!
If you knew who's the true light,
You would be burning like me
Stop being afraid of passion
and start living crazily!
Come and see, or go away
but with me do not tire,
I want to have my heart
always set on fire!
