There was an old man from Peru
Who dreamed he was eating his shoe.
He woke up in a fight
In the middle of the night
And found out it was perfectly true.



I Eat My Peas with Honey

I eat my peas with honey,
I've done it all my life,
It makes the peas taste funny,
But it keeps them on my knife.


Haymaking

The maids in the meadow
Are making the hay,
The ducks in the river
Are swimming away.

You Can Do it Kitty


It was a lovely day. Kitty and Cat were having fun.
"Climbing trees is fun,'' said Cat. "Watch me, Kitty.'' Cat leaped up the tree.
'' Climb up, Kitty,'' called Cat. You'll love it up here.''
Kitty ran to the tree. But than she started to cry. I can't,'' she sobbed. ''It's too high.''
Cat jumped down and gave Kitty a snuggle. ''Don't be upset,'' she said. ''You can do anything you want to do. You'll soon be at the top of the tree. See that little calf over there, Kitty? He is trying to walk.''
''But he can't even stand up,'' said Kitty.
Keep watching,'' said cat. Now he can run and jump.''
Kitty took a deap breath. '' Watch me, Mom! I'm going to do it!'' she said.
Kitty ran to the tree and...jumped!
"It's great up here, Mom,'' shouted Kitty.
''I can see the whole farm!''

Home Sweet Home

Betty Bunny looked at the sweet green grass growing in the meadow on the far side of the stream. Her mommy had tokd her never to cross the stream, but she was tired of eating the rough grass that grew near her burrow.
"I'm going to cross the stream!" she said to her brothers and sisters, pointing to a fallen branch that lay across it.
Betty bounced safely across the branch and was soon eating the sweet, juicy grass on the other side of the stream.
"Come over the stream. It's lovely!" she said.
But just then, Betty's brothers and sisters saw a sly fox creeping up behind Betty through the grass.
"Look out!" they called.
Betty turned to see the fox just in time! She leaped back onto the branch, but she was in such a hurry that she slipped and fell into the stream. Luckily, friendly Becky Beaver had been watching and she pulled Betty safely to the other side.
"Home sweet home!" gasped Betty with relief. And she bounced off to join her brothers and sisters, vowing never to leave her home again.

P.s I didn't know that you have a son Smoker? How old is he?

The Cherry Tree



Once I found a cherry pit,

I put it in the ground,

And when I came to look at it,

A tiny shoot I found.



The shoot grew up and up each day,

And soon became a tree.

I picked the rosy cherries then,

And ate them one, two, three.



The Apple Tree



Here is the tree with leaves so green.

Here are the apples that hang between.

When the wind blows the apples fall.

Brave Billy Bunny

At the edge of Frog Pond Wood, lived a friendly little bunny called Billy and his little brother Bobby.
The one thing Billy really, really hated was getting wet!
So one sunny day, when other bunnies and Bobby hopped off to the stream to play, Billy ran through the wood, leaping over logs and weaving in and out of the trees. He was very fast!

Suddenly, he heard someone calling his name. It was Bouncer Bunny.
" Billy! Come quickly!" he panted. " Bobby's fallen into the deep water and is being washed away!"
Billy rushed off toward the stream, leaving Bouncer far behind. When he reached it, he could just see Bobby in the distance, being quickly washed away downstream.
"Help!" cried Bobby. "I can't swim!"
Then Billy really began to run! He managed to get ahead of Bobby. He jumped into the water, swam up to his brother, and, coughing and spluttering, dragged Bobby to the side.
"Billy!" cried the others. "You are a hero"
"A wet hero" said Billy, grinning.
"Getting wet wasn't so bad after all. I'm going for another swim- in shallow water.
